On Thursday December 12, Companies 1 & 4 were dispatched to a reported vehicle over an embankment. The driver of the truck lost control on an icy steep driveway and rolled about 100 yards down hill until stopping against trees. The driver was able to walk to a nearby house. The Rappahannock Sheriff transported the patient to Medic 1B. Medic 1B is equipped with automatic ice chains that enabled safe transport 1/2 mile down hill. Ambulance 4 then transported the BLS patient.
