In the past week crews from WVFR working with crews from all over the county have responded to care for several critical patients. Starting with two emergent patients on Sunday WVFR crews as well as companies 3 and 9 cared for a motorcyclist who wrecked and a separate patient in cardiac arrest. The motorcyclist was flown to a trauma center and the second patient was taken by ground to an area hospital. Then Tuesday WVFR assisted company 3 on scene of a motor vehicle accident with rollover and ejection. The patient of that accident was also flown to a trauma center. Next on Wednesday Crews responded to care for a patient who had fallen and struck his head result in a head injury that necessitated a med-evac flight to a trauma center. With patients in varying conditions our thoughts are with them and their families and we hope they make a speedy recovery. WVFR crews were proud to be there for these patients and were happy to have been able to make a difference.
