Ashleigh Pullen a junior member of WVFR needed a project for her course at school. She worked with Rappahannock Sheriff’s Office and Fire Department to do a mock drill – MVA caused by drunk teen into a family of three. The child was ejected and mother crawled out of the vehicle only to die of serious bleeding injuries.Ashleigh and Sperryville Rescue member Courtney King were present when the accident occured and began CPR on the child, who was pronounced dead on scene.
Sperryville Fire arrived to extricate the trapped driver as sheriff’s deputies arrest the uninjured drunk driver.
Washington Crews guarded extrication with charged hose. Medic unit then backboarded the driver. After all over, two lay dead and one serious. Young driver is hancuffed and taken to jail.
