Everyone in the town of Washington was invited to bring their Christmas trees and throw them on a big pile.  At 6 pm on January 17 the pile was lit by Mayor John Sullivan and Assistant Chief Bobby Smoot.  It was fun for all standing around the fire keeping warm.
